For Relocating Families

Moving to Central Ohio? I'll be your guide.

Neighborhoods, schools, commutes, and the streets that feel like home — I help relocating families land softly in Marysville, Dublin, Powell, and the rest of Central Ohio.

What I do for relocating families

A realtor who knows what it's like to land somewhere new.

Most of my relocation clients have never set foot in Ohio when we first talk. That puts a lot of pressure on every Saturday tour, every video call, and every email I send. My job is to take that pressure off — to be the local who knows which neighborhood looks great on Zillow but floods every spring, which school district has the program your kid actually needs, and which commute looks twenty-five minutes on a map but takes fifty in real life.

We start with a video call and a long list of questions. Where are you moving from, and what do you love about it? What does an ordinary Tuesday look like? Do you want walkable, or do you want acreage? Where will you work, and on what days? Is anyone in the family making a hard trade-off you need me to weigh? The more honestly you answer, the better I can shortlist. I would rather take a full hour up front than waste your weekend on a city that’s not the right fit.

Before you fly, I send a written briefing on the neighborhoods that match. I walk top homes on video so we cull the duds before you board the plane. When you land, I drive — one car, one Saturday, the right neighborhoods at rush hour, dinner at a real local spot so you start to picture life here, not just listings. I want you to leave the visit knowing what you’d pick if you had to pick today.

Once we’re under contract, I run the closing remotely. Inspections, repairs, lender follow-up, mover coordination, utility setup, and the dozen small things that get harder the further away you live. You’ll get a written recap after every milestone, and I’ll meet the moving truck on day one if you can’t.

The Process

Six steps from first call to keys.

  1. 01

    Remote intro call

We start on video — your timeline, the reason for the move, what your day-to-day needs to look like once you're here.

  2. 02

    Neighborhood briefing

I send a tailored briefing on the cities that fit — schools, commutes, character, lot sizes, price ranges, what each does well.

  3. 03

    Tour planning

I build the visit around your flight window — efficient tour routes, real food breaks, time to drive the neighborhoods at rush hour.

  4. 04

    Virtual previews

Before you fly, I walk top homes on video so we don't waste a Saturday on listings that look better in photos than in person.

  5. 05

    On-the-ground tour

We tour together when you arrive. I drive, I narrate, and I give you space to actually feel each neighborhood instead of just seeing it.

  6. 06

    Offer & coordination

When you're ready, I write and negotiate. Then I coordinate inspection, closing, and movers across time zones so you can keep working.

What’s included

Three things every relocating family gets.

01

School district insight

School fit shapes most relocation decisions. I'll walk you through the differences between Marysville Exempted Village, Dublin City, Olentangy, Hilliard, New Albany-Plain, and Westerville — feeder patterns, program strengths, transportation, and which neighborhoods within each district punch above their weight.

02

Commute & lifestyle fit

Where you live shapes your day more than the house itself. We'll talk through your commute pattern — Polaris, downtown, the airport, Honda, JPMorgan — and the lifestyle stuff that doesn't show on Zillow: walkable downtowns, weekend trails, grocery, the church or temple or community you'll plug into.

03

Out-of-state coordination

I handle the parts that are hardest from a thousand miles away — virtual previews, lender introductions, remote signing, inspector coordination, mover referrals, even keys-in-hand walkthrough. You'll know what's happening every step, and I'll work around your time zone, not mine.

Relocation FAQ

Questions relocators ask me.

Honest answers to the questions I hear most often from families moving to Central Ohio from out of state. Ask me anything else.

  • Yes — I do this every month. I'll walk top homes on a live video call, point my phone where you'd point your eyes, and answer questions as we go. Many of my relocation clients write their first offer before stepping foot in Ohio. We'll also schedule an in-person trip for the finalists if your timeline allows.
